Yes, you really can save money with perfume oil dupes, but only when the quality is there.
A well-made perfume oil can give you a scent experience remarkably close to an expensive designer or niche fragrance, often with excellent longevity and a much lower price. You are not paying for a celebrity campaign, an elaborate bottle, international advertising, or a luxury retail counter.
However, a cheap dupe that smells convincing for five minutes and then disappears is not a bargain. Real value comes from how the fragrance develops, how long it lasts, and how often you genuinely want to wear it.
As a perfumer and the founder of JYCTY, I have tested many fragrance interpretations against their originals. Most of ours achieve approximately 95% similarity or better throughout the complete wear experience. After five or ten minutes, the fragrance may become flat, harsh or barely detectable. The heart does not unfold properly, and the base lacks the materials needed to create a satisfying dry-down.
A quality perfume should not be judged only by its first impression. It should be evaluated through every stage:

As the opening softens, the perfume's central character begins to appear. Floral, aromatic, gourmand or spicy notes may become more noticeable.
